Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping, done every week, for a fixed price
Your bank reconciled, your bills captured and your GST coded properly, every week, in Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. You get figures you can make decisions with, a BAS that’s right the first time, and your evenings back. Fixed weekly prices from $90 + GST, based on how many transactions your business has.
What’s included
Bank reconciliation every week
Every bank and credit card transaction matched and coded to the right account, so your Xero balance agrees with the bank and your profit figure means something.
Paperless payables
Supplier bills are captured digitally and attached to the transaction in your software, so there’s no shoebox of receipts at the end of the quarter and every claim has the paperwork behind it.
GST coded correctly
GST-free, input-taxed and private items sorted as they come through, so the BAS is right the first time and doesn’t need a week of fixing before it’s lodged.
Books your accountant can use
Because your bookkeeping and your accounting are done by the same firm, year-end financials and tax returns start from clean figures, and nobody has to explain the file to anyone else.
Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks
We work in whichever you use. As a Xero Platinum Partner we can also set Xero up from scratch, convert an MYOB file or spreadsheet, and connect your bank feeds.

Where you might be right now
A new business with Xero nobody has reconciled
You signed up, connected the bank, and then the business got busy. Now there are hundreds of unreconciled lines and a BAS due. We catch it up for a fixed fee and keep it current from $90 + GST a week.
Doing the books at night after a full day’s work
Tradies, health practitioners and shop owners tell us the same thing: the bookkeeping gets done at 10 pm, or not at all. Handing it over gives you the evening back and gives you figures you can trust.
A bookkeeper who left, or a family member who did it
The person who did the books has gone, and nobody else knows how the file works. We take over the file, tidy what needs tidying, and document how it’s set up.
Growing past what you can keep up with
More customers, more suppliers, staff on the payroll. At 150 or 250 transactions a month the bookkeeping is a real job, and the Medium and Large tiers are priced for it.
How we work
- Free consultation, up to an hour. We look at your software and your last few months of bank statements and tell you which tier fits.
- Catch-up, if needed. A one-off fixed fee to reconcile everything to date.
- Set-up. Bank feeds, paperless payables and a chart of accounts that suits your business.
- Every week. Reconciled and coded, ready for your BAS and for your accountant at year end.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a bookkeeper cost?
Our bookkeeping is a fixed weekly price based on how many transactions go through your accounts each month: $90 + GST a week for up to 75, $140 + GST for up to 150 and $230 + GST for up to 250. Above 250 a month, we quote.
What counts as a transaction?
Each line on your bank and credit card statements: every sale banked, every supplier paid, every card purchase. Your bank statements for the last three months will tell you which tier you’re in, and we’ll check them with you in the first meeting.
Is payroll included?
No. Payroll processing (pay runs, payslips, super and STP lodgements through the year) is quoted separately, based on the number of employees and how often you pay them. Year-end STP finalisation is included in the Compliance, On Track and Growth business packages.
Is the BAS included?
Bookkeeping gets the GST coding right so the BAS is accurate. Lodging it is part of your accountant’s work: activity statements are included in the On Track (quarterly) and Growth (monthly) business packages.
Do I have to use Xero?
No. We work in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks Online. Judge Accountants is a Xero Platinum Partner, and a Xero Grow subscription is included in the Compliance, On Track and Growth business packages if you want to switch.
My books are months behind. Can you catch them up?
Yes. We quote the catch-up as a one-off fixed fee, reconcile everything to date, and then move you onto weekly bookkeeping so it doesn’t fall behind again.
I’d rather do it myself. Can you just show me how?
Yes. You can start with us doing the bookkeeping and take it over once you’re comfortable, or the other way around. We’ll set Xero up properly and teach you to keep it clean.
